About the conference
Sporting Impulses is a professional conference organised by VŠTVS PALESTRA in cooperation with the Czech Olympic Academy. Each year it connects students, professionals, coaches, teachers and sports managers.
Together we are looking for impulses that can enrich sport, education and community life. We look for impulses at the Palestra - and share them with the whole sporting community.
The 4th edition builds on previous successful meetings in 2020-2024
Every year shows that the most valuable impulses we seek together. To Palestra.
Conference programme
Fourth annual conference SPORTS IMPULSES: PALESTRA 2025 will offer a varied programme that will bring together experts, students and professionals from practice.
In each section we will look for new impulses for the development of sport, education and healthy lifestyle.
Morning session (9:00-12:15)
Section 1: Impacts of sporting events
(in cooperation with the Czech Association of Sports Economists and Managers)
How do sporting events impact the economy, community and sustainable development? Examples of good practice and data worth knowing.
Section 2: Sports training and the sports environment
New approaches to the training process, the influence of environment and technology on the performance and recovery of athletes, as well as the training of children in the 21st century.
Section 3: Physiotherapy in athletes
Current trends in physiotherapy, injury prevention, but also physiotherapy for disabled athletes.
Afternoon session (13:00-16:15)
Section 4: The Olympic Games and their links to national events
(in cooperation with the Czech Olympic Academy)
Olympic values in the Czech context - inspiration, education and linking the Olympic idea with local sporting events.
Section 5: Athlete nutrition
Practical and scientific perspectives on nutrition in training and competition.

If you arrive by car, it is possible to park in the Palestra area, but the number of parking spaces is limited. In case of filling up, it is then possible to park in the surroundings of the school.
