Dear students, dear students, dear academics,
On 7 December 2020, our entire school system will move to Emergency Level 3 (PES). It is safe to say that the process of easing the restrictions and measures that have severely limited us for nearly two months is finally beginning.
We can implement the following:
Hands-on/laboratory, experimental/art instruction for all grades max. 20 students. First years full-time teaching in groups of max. 20 students. Individual consultations, clinical placements and internships, sports facilities for teaching.
Nose and mouth protection: in all indoor areas of schools and educational establishments; in outdoor areas in accordance with the general rules. In the case of teachers, the wearing of a face shield is mandatory (the use of FFP2 respirators is recommended) and in exceptional cases where it is necessary for the pupil/student to be able to see the teacher's mouth during the lesson, nose and mouth protection may be replaced by a visor, provided that a minimum distance of 2 m from the pupils/students is maintained.
Based on the above information, the school management considers it very urgent to address the following components of the educational process:
Theoretical teaching (lectures and seminars) of all years: Distance learning will be practiced until the end of the winter semester. If the epidemic situation permits, it will be possible to hold credits and examinations in the full-time form, i.e. in school, respecting all hygiene measures up to the number of students present.
In the current situation (PES 3), the exams can be held in the presence of a maximum of 10 persons or also in a distance form.
Practical teaching (exercises) of all years of full-time study: full-time teaching according to a special schedule in gyms, halls, swimming pools, fitness centres, etc. Due to the complications with the previous ban, in the rest of the semester the teaching will be concentrated, placed in days and hours as it is possible to occupy the exercise rooms, and therefore it is necessary to count on practical full-time teaching, e.g. on Fridays 11. and 18. Part of the practical teaching will clearly affect the examination period and teaching will be carried out, as a rule, on 1-2 days a week, in January and February, until the accreditation hours are filled.
Practical teaching (exercises) of all years of combined studies: We are counting on the addition of practical lessons on weekends during the month of January.
Testing period The winter semester will be extended until March 14, 2021.
Summer semester lessons will begin according to the academic year schedule on February 15, 2021.
The above can only be implemented in a situation where PES 3 is in force. In the event of a change in the epidemic situation, everything will correspond to this change. You will be kept informed of any actual changes via IS Moggis and the school website.
We have managed together to complete eight weeks of an extremely demanding winter semester, and I believe that we will be able to complete the tasks associated with the completion of an even more demanding part of the semester as well.
I wish you all good health, wellbeing in your hard study and a peaceful Advent.
