Psychosomatic Medicine 2020: tools of psychosomatic medicine.

The monograph is published by doc. Stacke from the University of Physical Education and Sport PALESTRA as editor and the Society of Psychosomatic Medicine ČLS JEP, which financially enabled the publication through the Institute of Family Therapy and Psychosomatic Medicine in Liberec. The chapters of the individual authors were planned as papers for the 18th Conference of Psychosomatic Medicine in Liberec, which could not be held due to the pandemic.

The possibilities in psychosomatic medicine are very wide and varied. The choice of individually appropriate therapeutic tools for the psychosomatic patient is one of the key skills of psychosomatic specialists, which places high demands on their education not only in medicine, but also in other disciplines, especially psychology and psychotherapy.

The monograph tries to answer, among other things, the question of the boundaries of psychosomatic medicine and its therapeutic tools, which are not as strictly defined as in other disciplines. As the first professional monograph of its kind in the Czech Republic, the text has the ambition to give the issue of tools of psychosomatic medicine a theoretical foundation on which this field can build further.

The book was published by VŠTVS Palestra s.r.o., which is also the distributor of the electronic version of the monograph.
