About the Dual Career Programme
Program Dual career represents the cooperation of the Czech Olympic Committee, state institutions, commercial companies, sports associations, public and private universities and, most importantly top athleteswho have represented or are representing the Czech Republic. Every year, dozens of athletes participate in the programme, who are thus provided with an assisted development pathway.
What is the programme focused on?
The programme focuses on Ensuring a smooth transition of athletes from an active sporting career to everyday life. The basic principle must be the possibility of seamlessly combining top-level sporting activity (very time-consuming) and parallel education or other activities.
Within the programme it is possible to apply for a financial contribution for, among other things, "University studies, vocational and retraining courses, language courses for an educational programme with a relevant accreditationwhich culminates in the award of a diploma, certificate, authorisation, etc."
