Rules of the selection procedure

Article 1
Introductory provisions

In accordance with Act No. 111/1998 Coll., the Rules of the Selection Procedure for Filling the Positions of Academic Staff of the University of Physical Education and Sport PALESTRA, spol. sr.o. (hereinafter referred to as the "Competition Rules") regulate, on Higher Education and on Amendments and Additions to Other Acts (Act on Higher Education), as amended (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), the conditions and procedure for filling academic staff positions at the University of Physical Education and Sport PALESTRA, spol. s r.o. (hereinafter referred to as "VŠTVS PALESTRA")

Article 2
Filling academic staff posts

  1. The announcement of the selection procedure shall be published in the public section of the website and on the official notice board of VŠTVS PALESTRA and in a mass media of national scope at least 30 days before the deadline for submission of applications.
  2. The text of the invitation to tender must specify the exact conditions of participation, in particular
    a. the name of the post and the post for which the competition is open,
    b. the qualifications and other requirements of the applicant for the post of academic staff member,
    c. the date from which the post is to be filled or, where appropriate, newly filled,
    d. place and deadline for submission of the application,
    e. a list of documents required from the tenderer.
  3. The selection procedure is announced and its result is decided by the Rector of VŠTVS PALESTRA in agreement with the company's CEO. The Rector may appoint a selection committee for a specific selection procedure as his advisory body. The selection board must have an odd number of members, namely at least five. In addition to academic staff, the members of the selection board may include other employees of VŠTVS PALESTRA or other persons. The selection board shall normally announce the conditions of the selection procedure, determine the order of candidates and recommend to the Rector a suitable candidate for admission to the post of academic staff member.
  4. The selection procedure may be waived in the case of a repeated negotiation of an employment relationship with an academic staff member if the position is to be filled by the academic staff member.
  5. The procedure for filling academic staff positions, as determined by the Chief Executive Officer, shall be in accordance with these Competition Regulations.

Article 3
Final provisions

  1. This Competition Regulation repeals the Regulations of the Selection Procedure for Filling the Positions of Academic Staff of the University of Physical Education and Sport PALESTRA, spol. sr.o. registered on 19 December 2003 by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports under No. 33103/2003 - 30.
  2. These Competition Rules shall enter into force pursuant to Sections 36(4) and 41(2) of the Act on the date of registration by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
