As part of the study programme Sports and fitness specialist with a focus on leisure Students master the pedagogical and psychological principles necessary to understand individual and group peculiarities of behaviour and behaviour of children, youth and adults, including seniors, and their use in the preparation and implementation of leisure activities in the field of movement, art and dramatization activities. The definition of the objectives is based on the assumption that the profession of future graduates will have a distinctly activity-based character. Theoretical knowledge is primarily a starting point for the acquisition and deepening of desirable professional skills and attitudes, which the students consolidate in their concurrent practice. The social skills necessary for working with minority groups and disadvantaged individuals are developed in the course of study.
In the professional practice, students will get enough opportunities to independently design and implement leisure activities for clients of different ages and individual specific characteristics, taking into account gender, health status, social and ethnic classification, and to get acquainted with both the real conditions in which their future profession will be implemented, and the diverse practical situations that they will have to deal with after graduation in their profession.
Within the study, after fulfilling the given conditions, the student can choose from this specialization in combination with elective courses to obtain a certificate - e.g. School Ski Instructor, Health TV Instructor and a certificate of participation in the accredited educational program Sports and Recreational Massage Therapist.
Students in this specialisation also have the opportunity to enrol in an accredited Nursing programme (as part of the DVPP lifelong learning programme) and obtain a certificate in Nursing.
