GUARANTOR OF THE STUDY PROGRAMME:

doc. PhDr. Daniela Stackeová, Ph.D.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE STUDY PROGRAMME

The programme is designed for both Palestra graduates and graduates of related bachelor’s degree programmes who wish to further develop their professional skills in the field of fitness and wellness.

Continuing Master's programme Fitness and Wellness is the result of the long-term development of study programmes at the PALESTRA University of Physical Education and Sport.

This programme follows on from:

  • Bachelor’s degree programmes (Sports and Fitness Specialist, Nutritional Counselling and Sports Diagnostics),
  • and, at the same time, on our long-standing experience in running the associated master’s programme Wellness Specialist, which has been systematically updated on the basis of teaching experience and practical experience.

The aim of the course is to train professionals who are well-versed in the field of fitness and wellness, not only in theory but above all in practice – they are able to work with clients, design programmes, manage projects and understand how to genuinely help people lead healthier and better lives.

We place great emphasis on:

  • the integration of fitness and wellness as complementary fields,
  • working with clients in various life situations,
  • the prevention of lifestyle-related diseases,
  • promoting a healthy lifestyle and well-being.

The programme builds on the knowledge gained during the bachelor’s degree (kinesiology, biomedicine, psychology, management) and focuses on its practical application.

It also draws on experience gained from running the Master’s programme at Palestra and responds to current trends in the field – placing greater emphasis on practical experience, real-life situations and the applicability of the skills acquired.
