The educational programme "Study of Pedagogy for Educators" is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic. The accreditation number of the educational course is: MSMT- 2496/2025-1-16.

The programme is accredited in accordance with Section 22(1)(c) of Act No.563/2004 Coll., on pedagogical staff and on amendments to certain acts, as amended, and Section 1(1)(b) of Decree No.317/2005 Coll., on further education of pedagogical staff.

The prerequisite for admission to the course is a high school diploma (in any subject). Current or previous experience does not matter.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME OF STUDY OF PEDAGOGY FOR EDUCATORS
  • to provide candidates with teaching qualifications;
  • improve their possibilities and application in current practice;
  • to enable graduates to use modern knowledge of special and social sciences in their work
    pedagogy;
  • to prepare qualified professionals for the field of education.
APPLICATION IN PRACTICE

In the Department of Education, as an educator in after-school education.

CURRICULUM SUBJECTS

Introduction to Studies, Pedagogy, General Psychology, Final Thesis Seminar, Theory of Education, Communication and Rhetoric, Special Education, Developmental Psychology, Personality Psychology, Social Psychology, Educational Psychology, Fundamentals of Social Pedagogy, Leisure Time Pedagogy, Pedagogical Practice, Methodology of Interest Activities, Interest Activities in Art Education.

The student concludes the above courses with a partial examination, test or seminar paper.

FINAL EXAM

The course ends with a defence of the final thesis and an examination before a committee. After completing all the prescribed obligations, the student receives a certificate of qualification. The defence of the final thesis and therefore the completion of the course must take place within one year of the start of the course.

TEACHING DATES

Direct full-time teaching will be carried out in 5-6 study camps on weekends (Saturday, Sunday - see the dates of teaching set for each course). The teaching takes place in the building of VŠTVS PALESTRA, Slovačíkova 400/1, Prague 9 Kbely.

These are always Saturdays and Sundays, classes usually start at 8:30 am and end no later than 5:00 pm. Some days may be free, some may be half day classes only. Always according to the current schedule. On these weekends there will be classes for both the Study of Pedagogy for Educators and the Study of Pedagogy for Teaching Assistants. For those interested in obtaining both certificates, classes will be coordinated so that both courses can only be taken on those given weekends. A portion of the instruction is shared by both groups of students.

Students will receive information about the start of the course and the timetable by e-mail 1-2 weeks before the start of the course. Confirmation of study is linked to physical enrolment in a specific course of the training programme.

11 500 CZK

CANCELLATION POLICY

Free cancellations are accepted up to 14 calendar days before the start of the course (seminar), for cancellations up to 5 working days before the start of the course (seminar) we charge a cancellation fee of 25 % of the course (seminar) price. Later cancellations cannot be accepted for operational reasons, in which case the cancellation fee is 100 % of the course (seminar) price.

APPLICATION FOR THE COURSE

Admission to the course starting on March 14, 2026 is open. 

To apply, click on "APPLY" and then select "Study of Education for Educators" from the programme menu. / "Study of Pedagogy for Teaching Assistants".

After completing and submitting the online application form, you will receive your MOGGIS login details by email. This confirms your enrolment in the course. Save this information, you will need it especially after the start of the coursewhen we will be using this system to transmit important information related to teaching.

Once a binding application has been submitted, the applicant is assigned IDthat serve as variable symbol for payment. Payment can be made immediately after submitting your application, if payment to the employer or other ID number is not required (see information above).

Invoices are sent to applicants available for download in the Moggis information system in the folder "Payments"and that is within 3 working days at the latest from the time of application (depending on manual processing, weekends and holidays).

The course is due no later than 20 February 2026.

The timetable and other organisational information for the start of the course will be sent to applicants by email approximately 1-2 weeks before the start of the course.
